‘I knew I could be a doctor, a physiotherapist, a businessman and many other things, but I wanted to be a successful teacher and so I chose this. I listened to myself and today I feel that I certainly did justice to myself’ says Mr.Manoj Bajaj, director (management) of glorious institution called SYNTHESIS INSTITUTE, Bikaner.
Mr. Bajaj, who hails from Nokha town in Bikaner, got his early education upto class 9th from Kolkata, West Bengal. Gradually he shifted to his home Nokha after class 9th and did his matriculation, +2 and graduation from here.
His journey of teaching is full of twist and turns where he was offered with multiple other options but he stuck with his choice. Mr. Bajaj had prepared for pre-medical examination after his 12th class. He did not only qualify pre-medical in 1996 but also veterinary exams and physiotherapy exam. He says ‘ My teachers played a great role in my success. I was highly inspired by the teaching style of my chemistry and physics teacher. I really wanted to teach like him. I used to be in awe about the fact that he could explain almost everything in simplest possible way’. Getting inspiration from them and following his hobby or more correctly passion, he opted to go with B.Sc in graduation and then M.Sc and finally M.B.A. – HR management.
He also mentions that he used to teach the students of class 7, 8, 9 when he was himself in class 10th and when in 12th, he used to teach all classes upto 12th which was possible only because of his love towards teaching. Whatever he used to learn, he was able to teach others in much more simple way.
While choosing teaching as career he had to fight with many people including his family who were also not very supportive of his decision. Since he comes from a businessman class family, he was even forced to join the successful family business. But Mr. Bajaj fought with every hardship and convinced them to finally support his dream career. He further says that he could succeed in education field because of the few teachings of his businessman family background. He could manage everything very well because of the management skills he learnt from his father.
He started his teaching career at his own institute CMI (Career making institute) which he started in Nokha, Bikaner on 19th November, 1999. He could precisely recall the date because of the effort that he put in practicing for his 1st class at his institute. ‘I wanted to teach like any experienced teacher who could solve each and every confusion of students and not like any naive, unaware of the problems of students. I was inspired by my teachers and I wanted to inspire others. So I practiced really hard for whole night’ says Mr.Bajaj.
In 2006, his dreams were taken to another height when he met with two other people with same mindset, Dr. Shwet Goswami and Mr. Jethmal Suthar. They came together for bigger purpose and started SYNTHESIS INSTITUTE in Bikaner.
